I am an award-winning communications professional with significant  experience spanning the public and private sectors.

​

Prior to launching my own public relations and marketing practice, I created successful campaigns at some of America's most recognized and respected organizations including AT&T, NextEra Energy, FPL, Verizon and NiSource.

​

My public sector experience includes serving as Chief Communications Officer at the Palm Beach County Tax Collector's Office, an award-winning local government agency. Led by an elected constitutional officer, the agency collects approximately $5 billion in property taxes each year and provides other essential services to the County's diverse and growing population.

​

I earned my Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2015, signifying a  distinct level of knowledge, competency and commitment to ethics.

Successful Entrepreneur

Establishing my public relations and marketing practice is my second foray as a small business owner. In 2012, I opened Avani Yoga Studio in Chester, Virginia.

​

I single-handedly built the yoga studio from the ground up, handling everything from strategy and planning, sales and marketing, branding, advertising and hiring. In less than 18 months, Avani Yoga Studio grew from six customers and one instructor to more than 600 students and seven instructors.
